"Vision without execution is just hallucination" - Henry Ford.
Have you ever heard the saying: "What you think, you attract"?...what if what you think, you visualize and bring it to pass?
Hello, 2020 is finally here! An increasing trend in the last decade for goal setting, life mapping, progression, focus, or whatever you call the planning of where you want to go and grow. Benjamin Franklin, the ultimate Polymath, or a person of wide-ranging knowledge or subjects, one of America’s Founding Fathers as well as a leading writer, printer, political philosopher, politician, Freemason, postmaster, scientist, inventor, humorist, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat famously stated “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” If you have dreams, ambitions, or even simply desire a change in your life, it’s a great idea to start thinking and planning for it now.
The ever growing popularity of vision boards puts you on that path. As you gather quotes, words, pictures of things you enjoy or like or desire, you will begin to shape the vision of your path. Especially if you are looking for a change you may not have found, as in a new hobby, or new position at work, or simply re-ignite a passion you once enjoyed this is a great way to find it.
A great Vision Board resource in Elizabeth Rider’s “The Reason Vision Boards Work and How to Make One” states,”Visualization is one of the most powerful mind exercises you can do. According to the popular book The Secret, "The law of attraction is forming your entire life experience and it is doing that through your thoughts. When you are visualizing, you are emitting a powerful frequency out into the Universe."
She reminds us that Olympic Athletes have been successfully using visualization techniques for decades. Simply proving that visualization truly can manifest our desires, goals, and dreams.
It can be as simple as gathering quotes and pictures either printed from websites or magazines of things that speak to you in the most positive way. Then simply glueing the cut outs onto a piece of paper, a piece of cardboard, or poster board. Depending on your artistic patience, you can lay them out and glue in whatever pattern that works for you.
The idea is that you will place your masterpiece where you will see it often to recall and refocus yourself as to what you are working towards. It has been often studied that the more we see our goals, desires, and dreams, the more likely you will accomplish the goal, obtain your desire, and manifest your dreams.
Here are 5 easy points to keep in mind when creating your vision board:
1- IDENTIFY HOW YOU WANT TO FEEL
2 - FOCUS ON YOUR DESIRED FEELINGS
3 - TAKE YOUR TIME
4 - KEEP YOUR BOARD WHERE YOU CAN SEE IT OFTEN
5 - RAISE YOUR VIBRATION WITH A GROUP
Have you ever created a vision board? Do you have a trick or idea and you wish to share it with us? If not, this is only the first month of the year, project yourself and manifest your dreams and revise your board at the end of the year. Try something NEW, after all, if you always do what you've always done; you'll always get what you'll always gotten ,right?
